Called 6 different operators at the USCIS and got different answers (atleast they are consistently inconsistent!)
2 Said it is perfectly fine as long as the amount is correct
3 said they prefer seperate checks but if the amount is correct they will accept it
1 said they will reject the whole package.
On a lighter note i spoke to one really sweet lady when my call was escalated. All i wanted to ask was about the checks, but she (very enthusiastically) looked up my information and informed me that i was not in the system yet and actually apologised to me. Now i KNOW she looked it up coz she got my middle and company names right even without my telling her that. She even said she has received a few calls today and the guy b4 me was a lucky caller as he was in the system as of Aug 8.

I missed the last rally and I regret it. There was a moment in time when we were all really energized. The flower campaign was brilliant. But now we seem to have lost that fire - me included! I dont even remember my dates anymore. I know we have a serious problem of getting people together for anything. But starting small in our own cities and connecting to a national IV would probably work. I am here in Sterling Heights, MI (Detroit Metro Area) and I am willing to host people in my area It will be great if others in other cities can do that too. I am dre. ming, but think about it if this works. We can march to washigton again such large numbers that everyone will notice. I really think its time to get together and do something. Bouncing ideas on IV boards is great but lets meet and get to know each other and see if can talk about this problem face to face across the country. Thats what grassroot effort it!. If nothing, we will find new friends in each other. I hope to find that fire in us again and I thank you for reading my post!

that dates being current is not an indication of you getting your GC. The dates have to be current for a long time for you to see the approval.
It is very unfortunate that your lives can be tied to this dates circus. :(

Actually, I don't have any idea on this but I just want to ask if I can leave & go back to the US with just my H4 visa? Cause I'm still waiting for my green card cause it's still in process.
My parents are here in the US and the reason why I want to go back to my country is because I want to continue my studies there.
Another question is:
If I go back in my country with just the H4, what if while I'm in my country and my green card is sent in my parents (in US), Can they just send the green card to me and use it if I go back to US?

I need help !!!! I am a Electrical Engineering , but I joined a Indian consultant and my H1b is approved. I am working as system admin for past 2 years. I want to apply my GC in EB2 catogory.. I received my H-1B approval for one year but my I-797 arrived without an I-94....
The notice also states that approved I-129 has been sent to Hyderabad Consulate upon request.
Can someone provide some insight on how to proceed and what are the options? Is there a chance to obtain authorisation by re-entering through a POE? What does this mean to my future in the states. Please clarify.
You need to leave the US and return showing the new approval notice. You may be able to just go to Canada or Mexico (depending on those countries' immigration rules) and return showing the old H-1B visa and the new approval. You should do this ASAP because you have been out of status for quite a while now.

I took infopass last week in NYC and the officer told me she will contact the TSC office and get it going and gave us a document signed by her stating the same. She asked us to come back in 45 days if nothing happens.
I doubt anything will happen, I am sure I will go back in 45 days and at that time they will say, you are not current anymore or some other reason.

I'm a UK citizen (waiting for GC), and one obversation that I have is:
If you are very good in your profession odds are that you'll suceed in either country. But if you are average (and by definition most are) then you'll be at a disadvantage with respect to the locals when you go somewhere new, especially if you don't have good contacts.
So I'd recommend thinking dispassionately about how good you are at your profession, and just as importantly how well that comes across in resume or interview. Do you have good contacts in UK?
I'm not sure if "indefinite leave to stay" gives you access to the whole EU, but it's a path to UK citizenship which does give you access to the whole EU job market (language barriers permitting). It does suck that UK gov effectively retrospectively changed the rules for "indefinite leave to stay", but at least in UK there is an end date (unless they push it out each year). Here for some there is no obvious end date for the waiting.
I also think that "indefinite leave to stay" may have a few strings (like GC six month in country requirement).

also to consider is EAD renewal. if your EAD renewal does not come through in time you can get in to all kinds of mess. I know of someone that had to leave their job sit at home and then get hired back once Ead came through.

Other thing is I also have a LC pending in PBEC (AD March 2005), but I am not with that employer and do not have any document/case number for that LC. Chances of getting these the that employer are bleak.

I need to clarify one thing though, my I-140 (which will be applied soon) is not pending for more than 365 days. Am I still eligible to file for 7th year?
