Any lobbying for immigration is tough at the time of recession. I think you are trying to do advocacy effort. Without getting approval from core IV group it will not be any use as advocacy effort only will not work. Senators will note your concerns and will act only if some bill is introduced. You need lobbying with advocacy effort for changing any law. Lobbyists will lobby only at right time as if they do in wrong time it will backfire.
I disagree
1) Mr.Obama (Change) alone don't have to do something about it? he can direct his DHS and CIS people to do their jobs right.. just because of economy is bad that does not mean people stop eating and kids stop going school.
2) We and institutions like IV needs to come up with agenda to lift this country quota ban (at least to eleminate this huge backlog)
3) IV says they have agenda but nobody knows what thier laundry list is.
4) We need to work for lifting this country quota ... this is the only way out.

What has been your contribution so far (not just monetary but otherwise?). Why don't you lead an effort and be the one which shows some leadership so that we all EB3's can follow you?
I guess you have an EAD and AP but instead of going into the details of what role IV played to get us to that stage you can just spit BS over here.

In my opinion, we need to have separate efforts for EB3 (now that EB3 I and EB3 ROW are in the same boat). If we have someone with leadership qualities and wants to use some social networking site for discussing EB3 issues and identifying approaches to solve the EB3 issues, there will be many EB3 folks willing to support the effort. Immivoice is just useless portal, it doesn't have open forums and the core folks here don't care for EB3. Also - emailed both personal contacts at my state senators offices with whom I (and a group of other state members) visited over the last month and a half to re-iterate general IV goals and to state strong opposition to S1348.
I have received personal responses back from both Feinstein and Boxer at this point.

You are in the EB3 category, do you ever wonder why somebody who is more educated than you or me, makes more money? Can we say, hey you I was born in 1890 I should make more money, it does not fly, EB3 is not a reflection on your skills but more the job you hold.
The question you should ask is why have EB1, 2, 3, etc?
Why do you not include the family based categories, isn't family first, why not the EB spill over to to FB first then whatever trickles down comes to EB, is not this fair? I am sure there are a lot in the FB queue who have waited for longer than you. Now dont tell you you are better than FB because you are highly skilled, pay taxes, etc.

We are praying for you. Do not loose hope. God has taken you this far and nothing is impossible for HIM.
I have known quite a few people who have been cancer survivors, some have gone through treatment and in some cases without treatment, it just went away. Like I said, don't loose hope. Try out the options that a lot of the folks have suggested on this forum and continue praying.

Got Welcome notice by USPS o Aug 16th (approved on August 10th), online status changed to PDA on August 19th, got physical cards yesterday.

To better be on safe side to get it stamped on my passport. I took info pass on 8-11-08 it will be almost 30 days

As replied by Desi3933, it is incorrect to my knowledge. Approval notice it self is a proof that you are a Permanent Resident. The stamp in the passport works for us till we get the physical card. I think you will get it on 9/11/08 9Infopass appointment date).

what would happen at that time?
say your case was received by USCIS and they have not issued FP notices.
what if they issued FP notices but not issued EAD and/or AP.
would they still issue an EAD and AP even if your dates are not current(obviously the case was received by them and they issued you a case number)

I know some senior members previously indicated in these forums that there is a difference between a "U"-Unavailable and a retrogressed date of 2003 for example.
